Just wanted to share a couple of cards I made for my youngest grandson’s 4th birthday. I used my Silhouette to make both cards. Curtis is a huge fan of PJ Mask so it was a forgone conclusion that I should make that card. He also likes dinosaurs, a lot. The dinosaur card was a Silhouette file that I purchased about 12 months ago – thought it was about time I used it LOL. I bought the PJ Mask characters on Etsy and print and cut them on the Silhouette. I also make the ‘4’ on the Silhouette too. All the cardstock I used is from Gina K. The ‘happy’ die is from an Australian company – Paper Rose. The ‘birthday’ stamp is from Concord & 9th and the ‘happy birthday’ stamp is from Lawn Fawn. Thanks for stopping by! Hugs!!

I had so much fun using the Concord & 9th Birthday Basics Turnabout stamp set that I didn’t know when to stop. I started with a blue one:
I used all Gina K Designs inks and cardstock for all my cards. For the blue one, I used Blue Denim, Sea Glass, Wild Dandelion and Key Lime. The card base is Blue Denim, as is the balloon. I stamped the Hooray from the set with Versamark and heat embossed with GKD White fine detail embossing powder. I then added a piece of blue wool for the string.
Next came the red one:
I used Red Hot, Dusty Rose, Peach Bellini and Innovent Pink for the stamping. The cardbase is Red Hot and the balloons are Red Hot and Dusty Rose. I stamped a greeting from Catherine Pooler on the third balloon and added the ‘birthday’ from the turnabout set. The bows are in white layering white cardstock and the die is from the set too.
I then chose purple:
Stamped the background using Plum Punch, Wild Lilac, Lovely Lavender and Slate. Cut the cupcake (using a die from my stash) with Plum Punch, Slate and Lovely Lavender. Die cut the ‘happy’ from the set using Plum Punch mounted on three cuts of Kraft cardstock. Mounted the word on a strip of Vellum. I then stamped the birthday from the set with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Next came orange:
For this one I used Sandy Beach, Kraft, Sweet Mango and Warm Cocoa. The cardbase is Sweet Mango. I die cut the ‘happy’ from Dark Chocolate cardstock as well as the ‘day’ in the banner and the bows holding the banner. The banner is cut from Sweet Mango. I used the stitched rectangles from Gina’s Thermoweb range cut in Sweet Mango and Kraft. It is all mounted on a Sweet Mango base.
Okay, so last, but certainly not least came the green:
Possibly my favourite – love green – I used Key Lime, Jelly Bean Green, Grass Green and Fresh Asparagus. The card base is Fresh Asparagus as is the balloon. I stamped the Hooray with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The ‘it’s your birthday’ is stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with green embossing powder. Finished off with some green jewels from Pretty Pink Posh.
I forgot t mention that all the jewels on the cards are from Pretty Pink Posh. Thank you for stopping by! Hugs!!
Hi! This is my entry for the Gina K Designs Monthly Mix Challenge. Thank you, Karen, for hosting this month. I used Gina K Designs Coral Reef Cardstock for my card base. I stamped my image from You Make Me Smile stamp set on Coral Reef Cardstock using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using Gina K Designs fine detail white embossing powder. The sentiment, from Dazzling Dahlia, is also stamped with Versamark and heat embossed using the fine detail embossing powder. I coloured the image with Prismacolor White pencil and Gamsol. I then mounted it on Gina K Designs white layering weight cardstock and added some pearls from my stash. I used Spectrum Noir Sparkle on my flowers. I stamped the flowers on the inside using Gina K Designs Coral Reef ink.
Thank you for dropping by! Hugs!!
Finally got time to post my card. Had a very hectic weekend looking after a 3 year old. I started making this card a week ago and finally got it finished on Monday. I used Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock and Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors to make my background. I stamped the greeting from Gina K Designs (Grand Greetings) with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Gina K Designs fine detail white embossing powder. I mixed Perfect Pearls with water and ‘splattered’ it over my background. To finish off the card, I mounted it on some foam and then onto a glitter cardstock base. I then added some gems from my stash. Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Everyone! Welcome to my Blog! I have started with a card for Cat’s Challenge on Stamptv. My card base is GKD Sea Glass. I used GKD layering weight cardstock for the focal image which is from the stamp set ‘Lettered and Lovely’. For my background, I sponged GKD Sea Glass ink and then placed the Lovely Lace stencil on top and sponged more GKD Sea Glass ink. I stamped the sentiment with GKD Amalgam Ink then stamped it again with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with GKD Clear Embossing Powder. I then added some jewels from my stash and mounted it with fun foam onto the card base. I have to work on my presentation and hopefully my photos will improve with time. Thank you for looking! Hugs!
Thanks for joining me!
